The Fifth Annual Delaware Miniatures Convention DelaWAR V! at DOK's Game Club, 173 East Main St., Newark, DE 19711 Miniatures All Day & in Every Way!!!!! Join us for a Mini-Miniatures Gaming Convention at DoK's Game Club, featuring... *Spotlight Demos of Warhammer 40K & Fantasy, WarMachine, & Hordes will start on the hour, every hour throughout the day! (Except for a lunch break at 2 pm.) * 3 Painting Classes--Miniature Prep, Basic Painting, and Advanced Painting * Miniatures DelaWAR Painting Contest, Speed Painting Contest, and Paint & Take! *Silent Miniatures Auction, Prize Raffle, & more miniature gaming than you have ever seen! GENERAL ADMISSION FEE: $10.00 includes participation in all games & auction, Paint & Take, Speed Painting Painting Classes (Optional): FREE!!! Events Games: Organizers will run games continuously throughout the day. Game length depends upon the game and your level of experience. There will be demos of new and classic games to introduce you to the game and answer questions. Games include Warhammer 40K & Fantasy, WarMachine, Hordes, and Flames of War. Special games like Blood Bowl also run. Paint and Take: Registered participants can paint and then take home one the miniatures provided by Reaper Miniatures and ZN Games. Most of our organizers are accomplished painters and will provide tips on painting techniques. Consider signing up for Class 2--Painting Basics. Speed Painting Contest: Contestants will be provided a secret contest miniature, paint and brushes, and will have 50 minutes to paint the miniature to the best of their ability. A panel of judges will announce the winner(s) and award prizes! DelaWar Painting Contest: Bring in your finest painted miniature in one of these six (6) categories: Single Model, Large Model, Small Unit, Vehicle, Art.....Entries are submitted into one of these classes--Beginner, Advanced, Expert and finally the newly created Master Class! Contestant winners will be decided by voting of DelaWar participants, except the Master Class. A jury will decide the Master Class Entries. SILENT MINIATURE AUCTION: Allows you to buy or sell figures. Painted, OOP, or Used Items Included. Buying--To place a bid, visit the Administration Counter and then place your anonymous ID number* on the Lot Slip cooresponding to the item. Bidding ends promptly at 6:15 pm, so bid early and often! Winning bidders need not be present, but must pay for their items within one week of the Silent Auction. Winning bidders who are present and pay will receive their items immediately. Selling--Miniatures and hobby-related items are accepted throughout the day at the Administrative Counter. Items will be displayed by lot. Sellers may receive payment in Cash or Store Credit. As winning bidders need not be present at end of the auction, payment on items won by non-present bidders must be made within one week of the auction, after which qualified secondary bidders will be notified. Prize Raffle: Each registrant will receive raffle tickets upon entry. Additional raffle tickets will be award throughout the day for participation in games and classes, as well as on game results and sportsmanship. Fill out the raffle tickets and deposit them in a box at the Administration Desk to win great prizes. The raffle drawing will take place at the end of the day. YOU NEED NOT BE PRESENT TO WIN! Absentee winners are notified after the convention and can pick up their prize within two weeks of the convention at The Days of Knights. *Your secret ID is your initials (first and last name) and the last four digits of your phone number.
